    How does Pitt even hire this guy in the first place?

    Just his family situation tells me he doesn't care much about the prevent defense.

    He certainly isn't going back to Miami (Ohio), which hired Michigan State's Don Treadwell.

    Not sure how you can fault Pederson - is there a way to tell if a guy you hire is two weeks away from a domestic squabble?

    I don't know enough about either guy, Haywood or Pederson, to really say.

    I do know my year is off to a better start than Mike Haywood's.

    Christmas in Jail is on one of my CDs. I wonder if there's a New Year's in Jail?
