The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette seeks a Pitt athletics beat writer to join its sports department. This individual will be the primary football writer and secondary basketball writer, a high-profile position in a competitive market with no shortage of storylines. The ideal candidate will be someone who can break news, develop thoughtful enterprise, think creatively about digital storytelling and embrace social media in all its forms.

The successful candidate will have:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience in a professional news environment
- Track record of breaking news on a competitive beat
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team and be self-motivated
- Engaging social media presence
