    Hell, it's that way in any sport you can think of. I'm just amazed that there are still parents who think their kid can take up a sport at age 11 and have a chance at excelling.

    Then, when they find out that's not the case, their reaction is unfailingly one of outrage.

    Hey, that's the way it is, and it isn't changing. If anything, it will only get worse. You adjust, or you accept.

    My friend's three kids all started soccer at 3. Of course most of it is just kids running around, unsure of what to do, but it's where they start.
