Pink doughnut boxes

    Where I'm from in the midwest, doughnut boxes always seem to be white.

    Doughnut shops do have a unique niche in SoCal. There are about 10 mom and pop shops in our community of about 120,000 residents.

    Krispy Kreme and Dunkin's are just coming back after failed attempts in the past, but a lot of customers are loyal to their local shop.

    Doughnuts and doughnut shops are a different kind of thing in California, especially SoCal.
