Piedmont College SID

This was posted on NCAA.com. As an SID about 4 hours north, I can shed a little light on this post. They use the best web software (Sidearm/ICS). I' be a little concerned with some of the Great South conference SIDs, but not too much. Their asst. baseball coach had the job--my guess is he could not do both well any more. The MBB head coach has a lot of SID experience and could be an asset. They do not have football but are adding men's lacrosse. Someone could really make an impact here as a standalone SID. Do not know salary/

Piedmont College: Sports Information Director

The successful candidate will provide necessary resource support for the communication of Piedmont College’s 14 intercollegiate athletic programs to both the PC community and the public. The position will be housed in the Johnny Mize Center athletic offices and the Director of Sports Information will report directly to the Director of Intercollegiate Athletics. Requirements
Duties of the position include, but are not limited to: managing the daily operations of the PiedmontLions.com website to include primary responsibility for writing, editing, and updating its contents; maintaining the PC Sports Network weekly and post game media coverage, game day coverage at the site of competition which includes providing all resources necessary for game coverage; maintaining all statistical information and timely submitting all required information to the NCAA, regional committees, the Great South Athletic Conference sports information office, and any other necessary bodies; developing publications such as game notes programs, game programs, sport media guides, etc.; and provide leadership, mentoring, scheduling, supervising, and training for a support staff comprised of student workers. Successful applicants must be proficient in all MicroSoft applications, PageMaker, StatCrew, and HTML file sourcing.

 

sounds like a college from Fast Times or something...lol
