Picking Springfield

I always thought it was Illinois.

 

I think somehow that got rebuked later that same episode.

 

That's an asumption many made.

 

Anyone have current vote totals?

I must have missed that.

I guess if I had to vote I'd go for Springfield, Missouri. Why? Not sure. I've driven through that town many times, mostly back when I delivered live animals cross-country in a box truck. True story.

 

I don't understand that one

 

Had a few run-ins there. I whipped ass in both of my encounters but I know one person who got their ass kicked. And he got that ass kicked very good.

 

I believe Illinois sits in 1st place.

 

They used every state with a Springfield. So one episode, you'd hear Kentucky. The next, Massachusetts. etc, etc.

I remember the first time I saw it I was disappointed. "Damn, they answered the question!" Then we saw a rerun and the Simpsons were from Massachusetts. Phew! Mystery remains!

 

I vote for Springfield, Mo. Home of my alma mater.
