Pica poles?

    It;'s waht I've always called it too, Frank. And I have a couple around the house someplace...

    Use mine as a straight edge when I need to tear something with a sharp, straight line.

    It's followed me through four papers and gets pulled out of the desk at least twice a week for some task or another, though not one related to its original purpose.

    I too use it for a backscratcher...I did have one of the youngsters at work ask me what a "pica" was the other day.
     
  10. I still use picas in my everyday language. It's much more impressive to tell women I'm 60 picas long ...

    My paper is so 20th century... our slot guys still have to print out the photo, crop it (if needed), use a ruler to size it, then let the photo department know what size it needs to be and photo sends it into the pagination system.
