    Excellent, inexpensive camera.

    From a professional photog, I'd go with this.

    If I was interested in making a point, I would do as suggested by some of the posters here.

    If I was interested in furthering my career, I would make the most modest investment possible in my own future, buy a decent digital and become a freaking ninja with that bad boy. Then, move on from a difficult situation with the knowledge that you did what you could do to make it better while you were there.

    Why sure, go ahead, roxraiders, bringing home (complete wild guess) $300 a week can certainly afford to drop $300 on a new digital camera. Mr. Publisher, tooling around in his $60,000 Corvette, can't.

    Use the crappy camera they give you, and blow the horrible photos up HUGE. Six columns.
