Photo/graphic help!

Discussion in 'Journalism topics only' started by pressboxramblings07, Oct 1, 2007.

  1. I'm working on a MLB playoff preview CP for Wednesday's paper, and I'm trying to find a big photo or graphic of the World Series trophy that I can cut out or incorporate into the package.

    Any help?

  2. I'm trying to find one that I can use with the same effect as this one with the Stanley Cup trophy:

Cut out the World Series Trophy?
Good luck. That's 30 little pennants.

Meh. Since I really learned Photoshop, no cutout has ever taken me more than 20 minutes.

Key would be to find that sucker on a white background.

Stringy hair AND a tennis racket. I challenge anyone to do a professional cutout of the photo below in less than 20 HOURS.

Of course, it could be worse. She could be riding a bicycle, too. Ever try cutting out bicycle wheels?

Hmmm ... never did a tennis cutout. But wavy hair isn't too big a deal. Never cut out a bike, either.

I tried to do a tennis cutout . . . once. I'll never try it again.

That photo's got great contrast in the most detailed parts... I can't imagine it being that big a deal.

Why would you need to cut out that photo, other than because you can and it proves what a wonderful designer you are.
