Philly Ink has new sports editor

    Our beats -- from pros down to high schools -- are now blogging daily and doing podcasts at least once a week.
    Video standups are coming soon.

    Blogging is a different style of writing and some of our guys just aren't good at it. So at least now, since nobody comments on our blogs, management is thinking of getting rid of them.

    ATH is the best talk show on espn, PTI the worst.

    ATH is proof that even successful, well-respected columnists will act like clowns if you give them enough money and/or exposure.
     
  7. I suppose it's a plus to see someone going from ESPN to print for a change ... it's been the other way for a while.

  9. Well, then I suppose it's a positive that not all the rats have jumped the ship for good.

    If he was unemployed, this was a good move for him.

    It also might indicate a cheaper hire than someone who was employed during this process, meaning the owners (who have shown they're willing to slice and dice) are not putting money into the print product.
