Should have been worded in a less threatening manner but in principal I agree with them and so do many other reporters.

Help me out here, I'm not in the business. Why do the phillies care if you are tweeting during a press conference?

Awful Announcing's site is, well, awful. I get a malware/virus page almost half the time I go there.

Because the reporter is offering real time competition to the broadcast of the press conference on the team's regional cable partner.

    Thanks.
I am the last person claiming to be an expert in social media, but I would think they want as many fans engaged, through any means possible. But what do I know, these people are the experts.

The team, not just the Phils, but every team, has a vested interest in having you use the regional cable net's app on your phone instead of Twitter or other social media.
