I've heard several people say 'the guy making allegations has admitted he made it up' but I don't see anything on the Net to that end.

If Peyton Manning and Archie are spotted at an Atlantic City casino the night before they play the Patriots in January, I'll expect Ahmad Rashad to interview Manning while he wears sunglasses for the NBC interview.

Two things don't quite add up for me, even as an avid Peyton fanboi.

Something was sent to Ashley Manning, it seems. That's suspicious.
Hiring Ari Fleischer as your spokesman? That dooms you as a liar in my mind.

They're just borrowing that from the Matt Walsh Spygate stories.

Let's move on, then. What was Ashley doing?

Manning defended his wife in the interview with ESPN but said that any treatment she may have received from Guyer was "her business."

"Any medical treatments that my wife receives, that's her business," he said. "That has nothing to do with me. Nothing that was sent to her and my wife has used have I ever taken. Absolutely not.

"I have my treatments that I do. She may have hers, but that's her business. There's no connection between the two."

"It was for my wife" was the explanation that kept Bill Romanowski on the field through the late '90s.

    It was very Lance Armstrong-ish.
