How will this affect Derek Jeter?

When I saw Boom posted this, I tried to think of any other Pettittes this could be about.

Boom, I honestly thought this was one of your jokes that I just didn't get.

I'm giddy that Don Mattingly will soon sign to play first base.

Pettite was injured at the end of 2010 - Perhaps a year of rest will allow him to pitch again - he is 39, in good condition, and pitches with guile while being a good fielder. The Yanks could have used him in last year's postseason.

Anyone see Jack Curry's Twitter spat with former coworker Buster Olney about credit for the scoop?

You'd think he'd never had a scoop before.

Meanwhile, Olney just seems stunned but willing to, with a bit of prickliness, admit that Curry tweeted it first. He says he hadn't seen Curry's tweet when his own sources told him about the news.

Buster must have saw it on SJ. I broke it at 12:07. Buster's tweet was not until 12:36.

    Just sayin ... ;)

Must credit network owned by the Yankees with the 'scoop.'

Curry was re-tweeting all sorts of people who were ripping Olney too. That was really something.
