I heard Moses Malone wanted to go out on top.

 

I was telling someone that Mark West was a pretty good center for Old Dominion who had a decent, if unsexy, career in the NBA. At most high schools, that makes you their all time best player. On the Petersburg all-time team, it makes you the backup center.

 

Mark West was a decent high school player. Not great. He was one of those guys who worked hard and was always in the right place at the right time. Skill and luck have a way of working together some times.
