Pete Rose back in baseball (sort of)

I'm fine if Rose is never allowed back in baseball and never gets in the hall of fame. In favor of it, in fact. And he may stink on TV, but his appearance last year on the Opie & Jimmy show (I think Anthony had been fired by then) was very, very good. You can find the podcast episode on iTunes.

Pete is a very good quote, but I do not think he will be very good on TV. His grammar is horrendous.

Then again, if you had told me 15 years ago that Chauncey Billups would be a decent on-air guy I would have fallen over from laughing so hard.

Well, Rose did do that brilliant portrayal of Ty Cobb in that 1991 TV movie on Babe Ruth, so he does have some experience on the small screen.

I'd pay money to see Rose put Jim Gray in a headlock, on air, then proceed to beat the shit out of him. Make it pay per view, and to even it up a bit, give Gray a Taser and some nunchucks.

I'd pay money to see Charles Barkley beat up both of them.

That was 16 years ago, but whatevs, can't let a good storyline go to waste.
