PETA: Bringing relevancy to the irrelevent

    Actually, they've done ridiculously well in their time, not only recording hits of their own, but producing them for other acts, and doing a number of amazing collaborations.

    They got nominated for two Grammys two years ago.

    The thing about Ingrid Newkirk and PETA is that they know that these stupid campaigns get way more attention than they would otherwise ever get. So her philosophy is the more outrageous (or stupid) it is, the better. If you believe that no publicity is bad publicity, PETA wrote the script. They are very good at it. They don't oversaturate people with their publicity stunts to the point of ho hum. And they manage to get people really upset to the point that they get a lot of attention for very little effort.
