One of my personal favorites was when Johnny said that God spoke to him--and told him to become a golf pro.

And yeah, what Markvid said about the music royalties. Damn.

Aw damn, I'm giggling my ass off with the memories. And yes, I know about the royalties thing. It sucks major donkey balls. But I didn't know the concert was in Cincinnatti. Thought sure it was at Candlestick ...

Nope, it's specifically why they wrote that episode...

Here you go ... The Effects of Alcohol ...

I did a WKRP search on YouTube ... there goes the rest of the day.

    Been watching them all afternoon....
And Herb Tarlek is my favorite TV character -- between the belt and the hyperventilation....

"Do I hear dogs on that album?"

    "I do."

Herb: "Who is woody Hayes? He's the famous Ohio State football coach. Where have you been?"
Jennifer: "Out with other men, Herb. Letting them have their way with me."

Les pronouncing Chi Chi Rodriguez's name is still a classic.
They tried a new version with Tawny Kitaen, incredibly, it tanked.

So many good WKRP episodes...I've got a ton of fuzzy-videotape recordings, pulled from local TV in the 80s when it was on reruns. If it ever comes out on DVD I'll pay any price for the whole collection.

Loved the one with Sparky Anderson, when he rattled off Jennifer's exact seat at Riverfront.

They did "serious" topics well too, with The Who concert and Venus' desertion from the Army.

But yes, the Turkey episode is in a class all its own!

I like the ones towards the end of the shows' run when Andy Travis became evil.
