When it comes to a Hamburger, Hot Dog, and Pizza, what are the perfect toppings for each?

    Hamburger:

American cheddar cheese, diced green bell peppers, diced raw onion, mayo, pickles

    Hot dog:

Raw onion, sliced of American cheddar cheese, mayo

    Pizza:

    Pepperoni, raw onions

Not a big fan of the mayo, especially on the hot dog. Swap that out for mustard.

On pizza? Sausage and onions always were my favorite toppings. Mushrooms if they're freshly cut, not canned.

A perfect hot dog has chopped onions, mustard and dill relish on it.

Burger: Salt, pepper, grilled onions, lettuce and mustard (preferably Dijon style)

Hot dog: sauerkraut and yellow mustard

Pizza: Sausage, green pepper, onion and a mixture of mozzarella and chevre as the cheese.

I'll do sauerkraut on a polish sausage or bratwurst, but for some reason it doesn't go as well on a simple hot dog. Not sure why that is.

    Hot dog: Mustard and onions.
Burger: American cheese, ketchup, mustard, onions.
Pizza: Fennel sausage (only if fresh; fuck that precooked noise) and onions.

I just had some sauerkraut in a Rueben; love that stuff. Sauerkraut on a dog or a bratwurst is one of my favs.

Missing from a lot of great suggestions above:

    Hamburger: add chili

    Hot dog: add chili

    Pizza: all the meats!

This reminds me of one of my all time favorite book titles by Lewis Grizzard:

Chili Dawgs Always Bark At Night

    Bacon on pizza is underrated.

So is extra cheese, provided they give you a defibrillator and a month’s supply of Lipitor.

I don’t understand the appeal of kraut or cole slaw.

I believe Gaffigan says [paraphrasing] "bacon is great on everything"; which I endorse.

Mustard and raw onions on dogs.

    Cheese and ketchup on burgers.

    Pizza is a different ballgame.
