Tex wins it in the 17th Sunday, and breaks up a perfect game in the 8th on Monday.

He'll be too expensive, but I do hope this franchise will attempt to throw a bone his way.

Stupid question that I could probably look up, but I'll ask you since you know nearly as much as Wikipedia....

Has Vin ever called a perfect game?

I'm almost certain he called Koufax's in 1965, and probably Dennis Martinez's (for the Expos against LA) in 1991.

For the record, I got up from my desk chair and moved to the cushy chair in my office, and Teixeira doubled. I promise to use my power only for good.

There's a great 9-minute MP3 file on the Web on Scully's poetic call of Koufax's perfecto.

Vinny might have caled Larsen's World Series perfecto in 1956 against Brooklyn, too, though I don't think he was the full-time PBP guy at that point.

And Tom Browning's against the Dodgers in 1988.

So the answer is yes, four times.
