Does that make Tim Collins the exception that proves the rule?

In a National League park so they have to hit, too.

Shorty -- re Collins, on size, yes ... But, like Lincecum, he has a staggering number of strikeouts.

This is an out there idea but I would like to see MLB test what kind of impact using steroids or HGH has on a player's production. The way it would work is each team gets to nominate one player who has not used PEDs before and they are allowed to for one season. What player would each team select?

Adam Dunn belongs in that select group of players who you'd like to have your team if you just didn't have to watch him play every day. The production is there. It's just tiring to watch, aside from those momentary bursts of power.

Jhonny Peralta is a lifetime member of the 'Good numbers, painful to watch' club.

Jetes is a well-known Viagra fiend, so he's out.

I'd be shocked if Jetes needed any help in that department. If he wanted to, he could challenge Wilt Chamberlain's record but he's always been more about quality than quantity (although his quantity would be astronomical compared to the people that post here).

    then,

Rear -ended at 10:30 PM and car is inoperable and towed away. Stranded and finally get home at midnight.

    Beautiful.

I say Wise because that would probably have been a home run. And like you said, it came in the ninth.

As a White Sox looser fanboi, I like having Adam Dunn on now because he's not the Adam Dunn of 2011. That has to be the worst season by any regular player (regular playing time, not regular bowels) in MLB history.

For the record, I wasn't being snippy. Just telling the OP where the discussion had been taking place up to that point.

Hate that. Some nights, all I want to do is watch the Yankee game, and when they're down early, like that, it ruins it.

Of course, the other night, they were down 4-0 the whole game. I gave up on it, and then flipped back just in time to see A-Rod hit a grand slam to tie it in the 8th. They scored two more that inning and won 6-4.
