    Same here. My mom got them for me for the first day of junior high. I felt so cool walking in them for the first day of class.

    And then ... junior high and high school were all downhill from there.

    Really sad how there is such a pent up demand for this item. I love sneakers but to desire to be the 1st to have them? Really?
