    As disgusted as I am by what the players are accused of doing, it is just a stunning failure by Franklin if this is all true. Any Penn State coach turning a blind eye to that kind of crap needs to be fired immediately. (Again, that is what should happen if it is true.)

    The JoePa statue was as much of a symbol of the cultish atmosphere that allowed that thing to happen as it was a tribute to the coach.
    I have no problem with statues of key figures/events to help explain history - as long as the story told is complete and not whitewashed.
