Not anyone who needs to win re-election, that's for sure.

This could be the death penalty for Penn State football. Seriously.

This is as heinous as it gets and all levels of the football program seem to be involved in some manner.

Sandusky should be flayed. That is the only punishment I think fitting based upon his repeated crimes.

Woody Hayes was a great coach but for generations he is remember just for the punch. The pederast could be Paterno's lasting legacy. And should be if he turned a bind eye.

Most prosecutors would love the glory. Book rights. TV appearances.

You don't take the perjury club out of the bag so early unless you're up to something. Wondering if the AG is hoping to use that to get Curley to roll on Paterno.

I don't think Paterno is in trouble criminally. He is career as a coach is, however, over. There were rumors he was going to step down at the end of the year - because his physical problems were too bad ... This scandal leaves no doubt. Whether he protected him or not.

PSU is going to have to clean house top to bottom here ... Any one associated with the program and the AD have to go.

For fuck's sake ... What the hell is wrong people? Did PSU have a NAMBLA alumni chapter?

Curley incompetence will cost Penn State millions of dollars after civil litigation.

    It's not incompetence, it's negligence.

Can one of our legal eagles explain to me why Paterno hasn't been charged with failure to report?

Because he promptly reported the incident to his supervisor who failed to the same.

"Failure to report" usually means failure to report a crime to police, yes?

It doesn't have anything to do with supervisors at work... am I right, folks?

    Usually not.

The grad student who witnessed the alleged assault and reported to Joe has not been charged with failure to report. AD has been charged with perjury and not failure to report.
