I can't wait to hear all of the PSU Kool-Aiders spin this one. Penn State fans for years have been sticking out their big stomachs and talking about "doing things the right way. The Penn State Way." Now, it appears the Penn State way essentially means the Catholic Church way: cover up, cover up, cover up and hope the allegations never come to light. Really makes me wonder what other things have been covered up over the years.

Presented without comment. Don't know what the final result of all this will be.

Also, the grand jury presentment, for those with strong stomachs:

Just read through the Grand Jury notes. Holy smokes. You're absolutely right. Usual SJ snarkiness reserved for other threads.

I'm sorry, man, I can't find much use for gallows humor in this. Especially after reading the grand jury presentation.

Yeah, to echo jr, I encourage anyone to read the GJ report before making any jokes.

I won't be a bit surprised if Sandusky kills himself in the next few days.

At least I hope he does.

While I don't necessarily hope he kills himself, I had that exact same thought after reading the release from the AG's office.

Having covered quite a bit of "the Catholic Church way" back in the 2000s, I'm afraid you're making a dead-on comparison.

Only made it through a page and a half ...

One question though: Is there an AG or grand jury that has the guts to indict Paterno, if he's involved, anywhere in the state?

Honest to God, that's the first thing I thought when I heard he was out on bail.

Feds could step in and charge him with something, and get the case moved -- no way he'd get a fair trial there.

I actually wondered first if any of his (alleged) victims have committed suicide. Given the dates, they've lived with it long enough to have that kind of impact on their lives.

Seems to me that Curley would be the guy who would ultimately be indicted, not JoePa.
