Penguins-Sabres outdoors

Discussion in 'Sports and News' started by Corky Ramirez up on 94th St., Jan 1, 2008.

  1. I love this. They've got their old-school uniforms on (love the powder blue Penguins' jersey) and it's snowing. Reminds me of playing pond hockey as a kid.

I hope the NHL can do this more often. Didn't they have 50,000+ when they did this in Edmonton a couple of years ago?

Or for a game of this magnitude, we could actually give it it's own thread.

Not great conditions for puck handling. And the Pens goalie is my favorite puck handler: Ty Conklin. :) :)

The snow's died down, so maybe the puck handling will get better. I woke up early to watch this.

This game is going to take forever with the delays to fix the ice. Better to make sure nobody gets hurt because of bad ice because if that happens, there won't be another outdoor game for a while.

So this is on TV? I suppose I can take a break from the Gator Bowl.

Is that supposed to be English?

A glorified exhibition game, it is.
