    Greatest performance by Pedro, IMO: 1999 LDS Game 5, pitching with a messed-up back, and coming out of the bullpen in Cleveland and pitching six near-perfect innings.

    He really re-energized baseball in Boston and ushered in the current era. One of Duquette's great trades, too -- only guy in that deal who ever remotely did anything was Pavano.

  3. Boggs was a Clydesdale while the other guys are Thoroughbred.

    Who wants to be a Clydesdale? Certainly not you.

    Loved Pedro. Would put Randy Johnson in that list of exciting/great pitchers of my lifetime.

    He carried the Knicks in the late 80s-early-90s, although his style of play wasn't very flashy.
