I'd go see Pearl Jam if George Bush wasn't a colossal douchebag.

I wanted to root for Joe Flacco to win Rookie of the Year, but I don't like Joe Biden.

I didn't really think that someone wise enough to like Zevon would like the drooling dolt that is Sammy Hagar.

They wouldn't play the state because the president was from there?

    Seriously?

That was my point. They care soooo much about their fans. Unless they're living in Texas. Those fans can go fuck themselves.

I do actually hate the scapegoating of Texas for W.

His whole "Texan" image was a bullshit act and besides, show me a state that has never foisted a menace upon the rest of the country.

It's just another excuse for people to lube up their hate-on for Texas.

I agree. I would have had much more respect for them if they hated their fans from Arkansas. :D

Plus, he's not from here. He's actually a goddamn Yankee.

You know, before we accept the premise that Pearl Jam doesn't play in Texas, might we actually check on that?

Pearl Jam played Texas in 2003 -- I know, because I have a bootleg.

I don't know if they hit Texas in 2006.

In 2008, they only played a handful of shows. Probably didn't hit Texas.

I mean, they haven't played anywhere near me in quite a while, either.

    Sheesh.

Yeah, but that's because they hate flyover country.
