The Fourth Circuit ruled today in favor of a transgender student seeking to use the restroom that corresponds with his gender identity:

The headline is a bit misleading. They didn't overturn the school's rule. They ruled the trial judge did not make his decision using the proper standards and gave guidance that will make it extremely difficult to find that the school's rule does not violate Title IX. But they did not overturn it.

Relevant: North Carolina is in the Fourth Circuit.

It pains me to say this but to do my small part I've decided to boycott Awful Arthur's in Kill Devil Hills if they haven't straightened this out by the time I get to the Outer Banks again.

 

Pearl Jam played South Carolina last week and returns this week to the palmetto state. Did anyone see South Carolina being considered the less bigoted of the Carolina's plot twist coming?
