Peanut allergies

    How come you never hear about a jelly allergy?

    I've often wondered about this. It seems like something that has popped up out of nowhere. Thank goodness I'm not allergic; I can't imagine living without peanut butter.

    I was on a 747 a few weeks back and before takeoff flight attendant announced to entire plane that no one could eat anything peanut related.

    On one hand I was sympathetic but on the other it felt like an infringement.

    My wife and 2-year-old son are both allergic to all nuts - except pecans - but our 4-year-old daughter is not. Wife found out the hard way that pesto is made with pine nuts. That was our first emergency room trip together.
