Paxton strikes again: Layoffs at Paducah (Ky.) Sun

    And to think that just 2-3 years ago, people said that if you wanted to move up in journalism that you had to become a copy editor or a designer, because everyone wanted to be a reporter.

    If you aren't a "content provider" these days, you ain't nothing to some corporate types.

    Word is Jonesboro cut somewhere around 15-18 positions, including somewhere around six or seven in the newsroom. Not sure on exact numbers. One of them was a sportswriter, though.
     
  4. Has to make one wonder if that's it, or should people who work in papers belonging to that chain are sweating at the moment (besides the fact it's just dang hot).
