The first 59 on the PGA Tour in 11 years, and only the fourth in tour history.

Goydos shot eight-under 28 on the back nine today, sinking birdie putts of 39, 25 and almost 20 feet. He's ranked No. 137 in the world and only has two PGA Tour wins to his credit, the most recent in 2007.

A nice guy, from what I've heard and read, as well as a devoted single father.

I just looked up this guy's career earnings. This is the guy that LOVES Tiger. 2 wins in his career, 10 mil in earnings?

He doesn't make a splash too often, but when he does it's typically a big one. Good for him.

Not a nice guy, a great guy. Have written a couple stories on him over the year. Notorious for hanging out in press tents. Good for him.

Jovial and quite funny. Very sarcastic. Nicknamed "Sunshine" because he's usually bitching about his game. Good for him.

Didn't he bypass some pretty good opportunity a couple years back because it conflicted with something he wanted to do with his kids?

I had him on my fantasy golf team 20 teams ago. The ultimate nondescript tour player, but a helluva nice guy...

At 46, he's the oldest of the 59'ers. And again, a great guy.

Steve Stricker followed that with a 60 in the afternoon.

Must suck to shoot a 59 and have a one-shot lead.

I've had lots of 59s on my scorecard. The back nine was often worse.
