    They must be trying to find the right person to lowball for this position. I think it's been vacant for almost a year now. This was on journalismjobs, but the original link states for an arts writer only.

Candidate will have a proven ability to write lively, insightful stories about the Greater Boston arts scene, covering a diversity of entertainment-related subjects - including, but not limited to, pop music, classical, dance, theater and arts-news - as well as the kinds of home and style stories found in GoodLife. The candidate will also provide general arts editorial support, assisting in the following duties - editing stories, production of Good Life and arts pages, and online content.

    Editor-Marlborough/Hudson - based in Marlborough, MA This position is based in the busy Marlborough bureau of the MetroWest Daily News. We’re looking for an experienced reporter who has some editing experience or the interest to step up and take over this interesting and challenging dual role as weekly editor. The Enterprise and Sun each have a well-rooted community news reporter and the editor has photo and editing support from the West unit.

    I'd guess a typo. Probably meant EOE or Equal Opportunity Employer

    I have seen it listed as EEO in other ads.

    That's the way CNC/Gatehouse always has listed its Mass. ads., with the entry level position listed first.

    I doubt the Ledger job ever will be filled, at this rate.

    Love the "if you live in or around Massachusetts, please apply" schtick. Nice code for "If you can't drive here, don't apply here."

    Once again, we present to you the path-of-least-resistance hiring practice, the bane of those trying to relocate.

    That was once a great Sports section.... sad.

    Should have gone after some of the talent that worked there years ago to restore it SOMEWHAT to what it once was.
