The Q hands down its suspensions today. Surely, Daddy Dearest will earn a vacation from behind the bench as well?

Didn't he have a 'physical altercation' last year with an owner in the parking lot after a game?

    They'd better.

    And fine the team.

    Here's the press conference yesterday.

Jonathan Roy apologized for giving the finger to Chicoutimi fans but said about pounding the crap out of Bobby Nadeau--even when it was clear he didn't want to fight. And Roy kept beating on him after Nadeau was down on the ice. (There's video of it in the article)

    As they say, gutless puke.

Roy is having a bizarre coaching career. Can we say anger management classes?

Fined for yelling at officials after a loss.

    More confronting officials.

Suing two newspapers who wrote about this shoving match:

Evidently a real issue with Chicoutimi:

Then there was his tirade against Latendresse:

    And at the Memorial Cup:

The Mem Cup rip of Moncton's goalie was classic Roy mind games. How the hell does Ted Nolan tell Patrick Roy that he's talking out of his ass when it comes to how to play goal?

I remember an incident in the OHL some years ago, when a guy from the Kitchener Rangers skated the length of the ice to jump Guelph goalie Andrew Penner (a big kid who wasn't afraid to fight). The Kitchener guy got something like 20 games but unlike this bit of idiocy, the incident wasn't shown over and over on TV.

I don't know if this is apropos of anything, but think back to the first on-ice gang fight between the Avs and Red Wings; the Claude Lemieux turtling game. Roy came out of his crease to attack a Red Wing player, who was already engaged in a fight. And the only reason he wasn't able to get in some cheap shots was that Mimico's second favorite son, Brendan Shanahan, tackled Roy.
