Patch is looking for eager reporters, photographers, videographers–and ideally those who can do it all–to help tell the story of Morris and Somerset County (New Jersey) sports to its residents.

Patch is a series of hyperlocal news sites that cover towns across the country. If you live in Morris or Somerset, chances are there is a Patch near you. We are looking to build our freelance base with competent, talented individuals who aren’t afraid to be multimedia reporters in the ever-changing world of journalism. Some of our previous freelancers have gone on to become local editors within the company.

Typical compensation is $50 per assignment. That may vary depending on the nature of the assignment, however.

Please reply with your resume and samples of your work to Associate Regional Editor Rick Burchfield at rick@patch.com.
