Bet Chicago is looking for a part-time writers/editors for a website we intend to launch in April. These are work-at-home jobs and require 2 or 3 shifts per week (9 hours with a one-hour break). Shifts will be mainly nights and weekends.

Who we are. Illinois Sports Gaming LLC is a Chicago-based startup anticipating the legalization of sports betting and seeking a sports bookmaking license in Illinois. The website, to be branded Bet Chicago, is a major initiative of our pre-licensing strategy. To be clear, we are NOT a media company. The primary goals of the site, while it will be rich in sports news, betting and fantasy content, are to 1) help build our brand and 2) drive customer acquisitions.

Who you are. Smart, engaged and hard-working. Positive attitude (you work well in a team environment, are coachable and usually have a smile on your face). Excellent writing skills with the knack and confidence to edit your co-workers’ copy. Knowledge and passion for Chicago and national sports. Knowledge and passion for fantasy and sports betting strongly preferred (you know what a money-line and futures odds are). Solid social media footprint and keen marketing sense also strongly preferred. Comfortable producing and posting stories on digital platforms (you know your way around Word Press or a CMS, you know how to embed a video or a tweet, you know how to crop a photo). Comfortable and productive while working remotely.

anticipating the legalization of sports betting.

So if it's not legalized the place will shut down?

Thanks for the reply. We are moving forward with the launch of the site and we have enough funding that gives us plenty of time to secure a license. A license is key to our success, and we're confident we're going to get one.

Sounds interesting. You mentioned the license. How about the Supreme Court's upcoming decision? If that ruling doesn't go the way of the states, will the company continue to move forward?
