The Richmond (Va.) Times-Dispatch is looking for a part-time sports producer. The job is 29 hours a week that involves mostly night and weekend work, and will focus mainly on prep sports.

Main duties include recording, covering and cultivating high school sports events and other local sports events and preparing them for publication on the web and in print. Here at the Richmond Times-Dispatch we cover more than 70 high schools, so sports producers are responsible for producing reports that involve thousands of local athletes. In the spring, we often receive between 80 and 100 results per day. Producers also cover one high school sport as a beat each season, and will also help out on other local beats as needed, including minor league baseball, indoor football and semi-pro soccer.
