BetChicago has an opening for a part- or possibly full-time writer/editor for our website and app.

    Who we are.
Illinois Sports Gaming LLC is a Chicago-based startup that intends to open a sportsbook operation upon the legalization of sports betting in the state of Illinois. BetChicago is the consumer-facing brand of the company. On the content side of our business, we produce stories and podcasts related to sports betting and fantasy sports, with an emphasis on Chicago and other regional sports.

    Who you are.
Smart, engaged, hard-working. You bring a positive attitude to work every day (you work well in a remote team environment, are coachable and usually have a smile on your face). You have excellent writing skills with the knack and confidence to edit your co-workers’ copy.

Knowledge and passion for sports betting is a MUST (you know what ‘total’, ‘moneyline’ and ‘futures odds’ mean; you know what ‘sharp money’ is). Knowledge and passion for Chicago and Illinois sports strongly preferred. Knowledge and passion for fantasy sports strongly preferred.

Solid social media footprint and keen marketing sense also strongly preferred. You are also comfortable producing and posting stories on digital platforms (you know your way around a CMS, you know how to embed a video or a tweet, you know how to crop a photo). You are comfortable and productive working remotely.

Weekend and night shifts will be required.
