Frontrunner for scam of the year

Five Toronto-area residents face more than 100 fraud-related charges in a real estate scam that sold parking lot spaces as condos, police say.

TD Bank was defrauded of over $3 million in two years

And to add insult to injury:

After the real estate fraud was complete, police allege the suspects also cleared out the personal and business credits lines of their victims.

What makes people think they're gonna get away with that shit forever?

    Two years?

It should've happened just once and someone's getting nailed post-haste.

Not to blame the victims here ... but how about a little sense of urgency in bringing the crime to the attention of authorities?
