Parking on the frozen lake seemed like a good idea at the time

I don't know if I'd park a truck on the ice this winter, but been through a few winters where the risk is low. How do you think you get to your icehouse?

Lake Geneva, which is a getaway spot for Chicago folks. On the news, the one license plate I could make out was an Illinois plate.

Lived in the upper Midwest for most of my adult live and I never, ever understood this.

    Just park and walk. Idiots.

The car owners should be socked in the ass for every goddamn cent of expense it takes to haul the cars out. Taxpayers shouldn't pay a nickel.

Wife and I were just talking about how it'd been so warm, it was a bad idea to be snowmobiling on the river near us these days.

When I lived in Fairbanks, AK, pretty much every fall and spring we had a story about people whose car fell in the river because they tried to drive across it before it was completely frozen/after it'd started to thaw.
