    Needless to say, they don't want anybody leaving. The economic disruption of the borders being closed for even a day would be significant. France runs an old-fashioned but efficient surveillance state. Once they ID the two dead perps in the theater, they'll be on track to find the others.

    Social media has made it impossible for people to be circumspect. Having said that, this debate needs to turn political. At some point, world leaders have to get their heads out 0f the sand. Right?

    Sunshine, I am not necessarily disagreeing with you, but get their heads out of the sand to do what? France has had a vast counterterrorism division of its government since the Algerian War. We spend billions and went out and fought two wars (score to date 0-1-1). Every country treats this as a top priority. So far, nothing much works. The world is drowning in weapons that give small groups (or even individuals) intent on mass murder the means to do so.
