In Canada, toddlers have the run of the plane and no one bitches.

Flight attendants even help breast feed the youngers ones -- even the male flight attendants.

Why can't America make this work, too?

    A semi-related rant:

It horrifies me that children under 3 are allowed to fly on laps. You wouldn't dream of doing this in a car, why would you do it in a plane? You have the big adults all strapped in, no tray tables, seats all upright and safe....and you have a 25 pound child who either a) becomes an unguided missile when the plane hits unexpected turbulence, or b) acts as a tiny human airbag for the adult when the plane lands too hard and the adult lurches forward at 200 mph.

    Makes me nuts.

JR and I in complete and total agreement on this. As a matter of fact, I would love to see the affects of a Tasar on an obnoxious three year old. It would be something like the scene from A League of Their Own when Tom Hanks brained the obnoxious 8 year old with a glove.

My daughter doesn't like to get in her carseat sometimes. She doesn't like to get out when she's in the swings at the park. She also can be a pain to change sometimes.

You know what? I don't care. I first try to reason with her and if that doesn't work, I'm bigger and stronger. End of story.
