Paper to alternate reporters on White House beat

Julie Mason, who covered the White House for the Washington Examiner, left the paper for Politico. The paper is now taking its two Maryland local reporters and putting them on the beat. One will cover the White House one week, and the next week will hand the reins to the other, and so forth and so on. Seems a bad idea with the most important beat in the country.

    They're covering SEC football? [\sarcassssssm]

And yeah, it's lame and feels like an attempt to placate two people.
