    I would have considered Perkins their best beat writer.

    Quick departures have hurt their Dolphins coverage. Just my opinion, but I don't think it's been the same since Bedard left.

    Perkins was not only a great guy, he was a very talented beat writer. He'll be missed.

    speaking of hockey, i couldn't believe the herald sent a writer to nova scotia for the panthers preseason and to finland to cover the opener. what a waste of money.
