So, walking to work today, I started up the stairs to the overpass to cross the street. I do this at least twice a day and, even though I run into a few bizarre characters, I wasn't quite ready for today's.

The overpass has two sets of stairs to the top, like a regular stairwell. You go up maybe 8 steps make a 90-degree turn and continue.

Well, today, there was a dude sitting in the little alcove. It's not an indoor stairwell; it's exposed to the outside world.

And so was he. *Actively* exposed.

Honestly, I wasn't even paying attention. I'd nodded hi to some mom and two kids waiting on the ground level for bus and hit the stairs. Saw the dude sitting on the top, and I figured he was panhandling again.

    No.

    Manhandling.

He was fairly zoned out, but still going at it. Completely out there, too.

I wasn't impressed at all, not that he seemed to notice. In fact, the whole display was so unimpressive it didn't even register what I'd seen until I was about three steps up the other side.

Wonder if he'll be there this evening for the walk home.

I can't say I've run across this in any of the three countries in which I've lived. Public peeing, sure, but this was new.

I'm kind of hoping I've seen it all now, because I certainly don't want to see that again.

Ask him if he saves the full-size one for rush hour.

It's frowned upon. Thanks a lot, bin Laden.

Yeah, in some circles they call that ... uh, never mind.

I was about to eat lunch. Now, I think I'm going to have to wait a while.

Unless you were having sausage and peppers - in which case, carry on!

In a firm but polite tone, just say "Stop it, Killick."
