Racism led to firing, he says.

Whether it's true or not, he definitely needs to STFU...

Yet we've come so far, what with two black head coaches in the Super Bowl.

Edit: Updated to include sarcasm font.

Over/under on any Washington apologists chiming in on this thread?

What apologists? They ran away faster than the faculty at Duke. Does Isaiah Washington knows that he's Isaiah Washington, right? A bit player who got lucky on a show and is fading quicker than a Paris Hilton trip to the slammer. (see Caruso, David)

Yo, Isaiah, the show's creator is black. You should know that, because you would never have been tabbed to play Burke.
  6. And you know that, how?

Obviously, his bigotry played no part in his departure from the show

The shut up phone? I think I got that when I subscribed to Sports Illustrated in 1988.
  9. Damn, all I got was the football phone.

I got the New England Patriots hat with the "NEW ENGLAND" in block letters and the "Patriots" in cursive. Anyone remember those?

Ask and you shall read: http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_m1077/is_12_60/ai_n15632370/print and if you need more evidence, here's a picture: http://www.wga.org/writtenby/writtenbysub.aspx?id=883

You don't read or follow Hollywood stuff.  It's over your head, hombre.

The main point is he was an unknown until this show made the cast a household name.  Rhimes has warned him to tone down his outbursts after the Emmy flare-up. So, in no way his case is going to hold up. She's the creator and exec. producer and makes the final decisions. Not ABC.
