It's a start but not enough.

And what does Tank Johnson get after he's done serving his four months in jail?

I eagerly await the union's reaction. But good for Roger Goodell, comes out firing.

Interesting, OD .... ESPN.com still has Pacman's as the season, as you did in the original post. ... Was there confusion between AP/ESPN on this one?

AP just updated with Pacman done for the season.

Pacman should be done for life. As should Tank Johnson.

Maybe this is a slippery slope, but it's a sincere question. I'd love to hear both sides, maybe this is a different thread.

But Pacman and Henry no doubt are suspended because they're thugs who broke the law and, maybe most importantly, tarnished the league's image.

Will we soon see a similar policy concerning steroids in the NFL?

Or are those two wildly different issues? Don't the Shawne Merrimans of the league tarnish the image as much? Or way less?

Thje NFL drug policy is way too soft.
Yes, Merriman should have been suspended for the season when he tested positive for steroids. Four games meant nothing.

This is awful on a lot of fronts. For starters its a knee jerk reaction to media stories. Did what Pac Man did really merit being unemployed?
