Don't get the hate for Napoleon Dynamite here. That movie was brilliant on so many levels and Jon Heder's performance was the epitome of understated brilliance.

As for the REAL overrated movies, throw another vote for Titanic and add the uneven, overacting mess that is Talladega Nights and Home Alone to the mix. If you're that stupid that you forget your kid, not only don't you deserve that suburban Chicago manse, but you deserve a cell with a roomie who hates child abusers.

This is just one example of why I need to stay the hell out of this thread. As Satchel Paige would say, it angers up the blood.

I have friends that might try to hurt you for saying that. Try it again, it gets better with a second (or third) viewing.

I realize that most people see it for what it's worth (i.e. special effects and the like), but 300 was god-awful. I couldn't stop laughing.

Batman: Nicholson was O.K., but the plot essentially sucked.

    Pretty Woman: Never liked it.

Fast Times at Ridgemont High: Don't get me wrong, there's a lot of fantastic scenes, but the overall movie doesn't really feel like it flows very well.

Hook: Lots of hype, and Dustin Hoffman was adequate as Captain Hook, but Robin Williams fell way flat as Peter Pan.

  12. Hook?

Can that movie really be overrated?
