The Standard-Examiner is looking for a multimedia journalist with a background emphasizing outdoor and environmental storytelling for our print publications and online media.

We are a regional daily print newspaper and online news source covering Northern Utah.

The ideal candidate for this position should have strong background in outdoor writing, photography and some video experience with story samples and a portfolio to prove it, as well as the online savvy to promote their work using social media.

The main responsibilities for this position will be to cover local and regional outdoor action sports, hunting, fishing and environmental issues.

Ogden is located at the base of the Wasatch Mountains and is an outdoor recreation center with three ski resorts, mountain biking trails, two rivers, rock climbing and more. This is a great place for those who want to make their home in a scenic place with a relatively low cost of living.

Applicants should submit 3-5 writing samples, a still photo portfolio, video samples, a cover letter, resume and references to be considered for the position.
