    Galileo! Galileo!
(Hey, Slap. Don't you hate it when the guests at your party get hammered and start singing along with the radio?)

Had one buddy ask me today why he got an invite.
I told him that I had five friends in this state.

And I wanted him to see who they were...

Sweetie, if you need Coffee Crisp and Mackintosh toffee, just zap me your addy and I'll be more than happy to send you some ... because that's what I do for the rare people I actually like.

While I note that I too, in slappy's own state, am eversoclose to moving into our new, custom-built home, you don't see ME waving my arms and inviting y'all -- then again, I know who some of you are.

That said, slap-meister, I received your invite in the mail the other day and Mrs. Rockbottom and I are still trying to determine it. The beer selection will be a factor ... and, also, I trust I can bring some range balls so we can hit 8-irons at your neighbors from the front yard, yes?

while it is a relatively big lot (100x140) for most, a pitching wedge would have to do.
You, however, can continue to hit 8-iron...

As for the beer selection, we just plan on serving one kind. Cold. Ice cold. Best suited for a June day in Ala-flippin-bama...

Greenbow? Damn, why didn't you say so? I've got the perfect gift. There's a kid there -- actually he's at least in his 50s now, but he's, uh, young at heart. Anyway, the guy loves to cut grass, and he does a fabulous job at it, so what I'm going to do is hook you up for free lifetime mowing (his lifetime). Just don't engage him in a footrace, because the sonafabitch sho is fast.

Well, it's either that or face the reality that, just like every other sport played internationally, we suck at soccer.

So they didn't tell you yet about the part where everybody lines up and whacks you in the nuts with a nerf bat ?
