    Because The Jordan's failures must be discounted.

    I'm sure there are Jordan apologists out there, but I would hardly consider myself one. I just don't think there are too many out there who don't think that if Jordan had played a full season, or even a half season, that the season would have ended in a different manner.

    That's O.K. There weren't too many out there who one year ago thought a 59-year-old could be one putt away from winning the British Open.

    Conventional wisdom does not equal truth.

    Most people when they are 59 can choose the correct club to approach with. ;)
